Monitoring animal activity is important for assessing their health and identifying potential issues, but manual monitoring can be costly and time-consuming. To address this, a solution called AgriLive was developed specifically for dairy farmers. The system uses IoT technology to automatically monitor live captive animals, which is crucial for identifying illnesses and promoting animal welfare, as well as increasing productivity. This technology is comprehensive and provides real-time information on the health and productivity of cows. The goal was to create a small wearable device that could be worn by dairy animals to track their body temperature, heat cycle, and food intake, which would assist veterinarians in identifying illnesses and increasing milk production. The device is based on an arduino pro mini circuit, which includes a temperature sensor and accelerometer to monitor movement, the readings are sent to a central Raspberry Pi based gateway which uploads the data to the cloud.
